At the Center for Innovation (CFI), it all comes back to one simple truth: People are everything.
We know that when you focus first on the humanity of aging—older adults and the people who serve them—everything else follows: stronger communities, better services, smarter growth, and yes, financial success.
CFI brings together two powerful sources: The Green House Project and Pioneer Network. Together, we’ve created a BIG TENT where everyone who cares about improving aging is welcome—leaders of communities and companies, researchers, ombudsmen, policymakers, advocates, and everyday consumers.
And hey, we get it—sometimes as sociologists, caregivers, and academics, we can sound a little… wonky. We own it. But we’re working hard to make sure our vision connects loud and clear with everyone who shares our passion for changing the way our world serves older people.
That’s why at CFI 2025, we will be unveiling BIG NEWS—a bold new direction that will break through the noise and burn the doors down on outdated ideas about how older people should live and be treated.
We’re not here to tinker around the edges. We’re here to mobilize real, unstoppable, people-first change.

Center for Innovation
The umbrella organization merging Pioneer Network and The Green House Project that is championing radical innovation in aging services by bridging practice, policy, and research—all through a human-first lens.
As the organization looks to the future, at CFI 2025, they will be launching a new brand and a refreshed set of services that are designed to be approachable for all communities no matter their financial resources. Our philosophy is helping care teams move forward so that every person has a positive aging experience.
Pioneer Network
Leading the culture change movement by promoting deep systemic transformation in aging services—where choice, autonomy, and respect are the standards. The Pioneer Network team and its members deliver thousands of hours of consulting services and assistance to a wide variety of communities across the United States and around the world.
The Green House Project
Revolutionizing the model of long-term care through small, person-directed homes that celebrate dignity, independence, and quality of life. CFI and The Green House Project assist communities in designing, building, staffing, and successfully and profitably operating the gold standard of skilled nursing care.
Together, we’re mobilizing the movement for better aging—one person, one community, one bold idea at a time.
